I can say that I have a lot of respect for those that do flexi ANYTHING. I've done only one prim skirt (that I've sold). Adding flexi to it is a whole new world. I'm just not patient enough. I'm sure I'll do it again...someday.

Anyway...I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out. It has a bit of a 50's look with a flare of Pazaz! Could you see anyone in the 50's sporting that neckline?

Well, howdy! Been a while, eh? Man, I really wish I could get into this blogging thing. I think it could be a very good release for me. I'm not really good at expressing emotion. If you ask most people, I'm happy all the time. All, I can say is I'm good at pretending. I don't like to talk about my problems because I don't want to be viewed or feel like a complainer.

Second Life is picking up for me a little. The rentals are picking up and I'm getting enough out of them to exchange and pay for my tier each month. I just wish I had some friends to hang out with. All I do when I get online is maintain the rentals and log off. I've been in SL for over a year and haven't found a lasting relationship that keeps me coming back. I won't go away, but still...

Real Life has been rather busy. I'm trying to start my graphic design freelancing up and going. I've been working on my website (which I'm quite proud of so far) and I'm so happy to finally have something up. Check it out www.dawningconcept.com. I also plan to get my second life clothing creation up on the web at www.secondlife.dawningconcept.com but I'm not even thining about getting that one up yet. Many more pressing things to worry about right now.

So, back to work...I feel much better now....meh :/

EDIT: Oh YEAH!!! I got a shiny new laptop! 1.8 Ghz 2Gig of RAM 6800 256MB Nvidia Graphics Card...groovy stuff like that. It's sooo nice to be in the Welcome Area at a whopping 10 fps. YEEHAAAW!

Happy Blogiversary!

Holy Moly! It's been over a year since I started this thing. I read something kinda funny in my first post:

"I want to start posting either daily or weekly events as I live my second life in there."

Funny huh! With my new first life job, SL has been put on the back burner. I'm wanting to get my clothing designs up and running. I think I say that in every posting lately. I'll get to it. PROMISE! I have a lot of designs that are about half finished. I'm wanting to get the hang of baking so my shading can look more realistic. I've been trying to figure it out in Maya. I'm quite ignorant though. Once I figure it, I'll post some pictures.

RL just keeps getting in the way.

RL! YAY! I just got a new job at the local tv/internet/phone/cell place. I'm really excited about it. BUT, it really interferes with my activities in SL. The only thing I get on to do anymore is to make my daily deposit into Ginko so I can pay for this habit of mine :D.

I signed up my little brother and sister up to the teen grid. As I walked them through and taught them some basics, I grew very thankful that I was over 18. There's not much over there yet. Which does, however, make a lot of room for growth. That could be a good thing. Lots of oppurtunity.

I really can't believe how much SL has grown lately. over 50,000 new members since earlier this year. It's amazing!

Getting back in the swing of things.

Wow, it's been a while, eh? RL has been a bit rocky lately. Hence, my absence. I'm living with my parents for a while and I'm not able to get on much because they don't "agree" with the "game". They are quite the conservative bunch of folk. When I get my own place, I hope to get back up with the clothing stuff. I really miss it. I've gotten back into my rentals. They are doing quite well. I had to switch my rental system. I was using the Gigas one but it didn't sent inworld notifications of when rent was due. Hence, more work for me that I never got around to. Most people just ended up staying for free. I switched back to the Rent-O-Matic and things are going smoothly again. Hope fully I can keep this blog up. I just get lazy.
